About Us

House of Ming is a boutique motion picture company based in Brooklyn, New York.

We specialize in all aspects of film production (narrative, documentaries, music videos, commercials).

House of Ming has produced the Award Winning short film YELLOW, which aired on BET J’s The Best Shorts, in addition to winning the Best Narrative for the 2005 New York Hip Hop Odyssey International Film Festival. YELLOW screened for 5 years across the country, in addition to The Mediterranean Festival at Sea and BAM Cinemas in Brooklyn, New York.

Fiche d’Identite, a documentary produced by House of Ming which follows the first President of Senegal - Leopold Sedhar Senghor’s – grand-daughter and her friends on their journey through the American immigration system, while portraying their life in the entertainment industry was invited to screen at the United Nations to open for the 11th Annual African American Women in Cinema Festival.

House of Ming has also developed a webseries for TyraBanks.com which aired winter 2010.

The most recent projects from House of Ming include the music videos of Maysa Leak (Incognito) and The Floacist featuring Musiq Soulchild, currently running on major video channels Centric, MTV Hive and VH-1 Soul.

House of Ming is currently in development of their first feature film, written, produced and directed by founder, Dominga Martin.
